Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: Handsome Fredward, Trek 1.1

Averaging ~30 miles /week in the month leading up to a cyclocross race based around a giant hill climb while riding a SS is a recipe for failure. DFL but I learned a lot and had fun.

Just a quick spin at some random park. The wind is not my friend today.

Bikes: All of them

After living in SF for 10 years, I finally visited the wave organ. It's pretty random and cool.

Last, actually. Parts of the course were soft, but not that area.

First ride in almost three weeks, first fixie ride in longer than that. 32 miles with the Night Riders of Fort Worth

About 24 miles into the ride we stopped at Fiesta Mart to pick up some food for our Pedal for Plenty food drive.

...and then I stopped at El Tacolote for some street tacos for dinner on the way home.

From today. Posting because cant sleep.

Quintessential pic for the wifey (taking a break from my aspiring LEO mindset for a year, so don't mind the scummy facial hair):

Who would ever think its mid-November with this weather?

EDIT: I just realized my bar angle is a little off.

SpeshulEd - thanks man! It's one State's rider jerseys. Rider Signature Series - October: Andrew Hemesath Jersey | State Bicycle Co. I didn't want to look like a nascar, or a walking billboard with a ****load of brands logos I don't rock. I love the design.

Mumonkan - Today is definitely like July, disguised as November.

Bikes: En plus one

Yesterday's ride. Even go to do some off-road exploring , found this cool suspension which I hope will become some kind of trail. I must have picked up a tiny thorn, because I got a flat, but couldn't find the hole until I got home and immersed the tube in water.
