It was only that snowy for about 400ft. The rest of the way had some sunlight, so it was only light patches of frost and snow on the sides of the road, and not on the actual road itself. The descent was pretty brutal though. I definitely need to invest in a neck gaiter or something so my lips don't die as much as they are right now.

I love to see silnylon tarps, footprints and other ultralight gear.
Guy under the blue shelter is my hero.
I'm curious to see a gear list. Did you make your own water with Aqua Mira or something, or were you getting it along the way?

the tarp was dan, the guy on the scott scale. it was his first test of the setup and he liked it, 20º bag inside the same sol bivvy on a space blanket tarp groundcloth and inflatable pad, he kept good and warm. it was 28º when we woke up
my shelter was the grey on the right, big agnes fly creek ul1, sea to summit 46º bag inside a sol escape bivvy, i was generally warm but my toes were still going numb in the morning with 3x mountaineering wool socks
green shelter was prentiss on the 1x9 ogre, msr hubba with a 30º bag and inflatable pad, he said he was nice and toasty in his tent
im writing it up on the blog and ill put a detailed gear list of everyones setup
