I'm usually not, no climbing on my commutte from Oakland to Milpitas, just a little rolling along Mission.

a lot of roadies have it - i kinda do when I ride my training bike cause it has a compact.

on my caad9 (53/39), I do nearly all of my solo riding under 23mph or so in the little ring.

I thought the small ring was just for looks?

and for pu$$ys like me

i take great pleasure passing people mashing in their big ring while im spinning away in my little ring. it's like: "good job he-man, you look like an idiot."

Heh, there aren't many hills near me so I usually only cross chain when I'm downshifting before a stop. I try to keep my cadence at 90 or above. I'm also riding a compact so I don't see the small ring too often. I was in it more often when I was riding a standard.

I know this POV has been done to death, but I still like it.

Nice easy ride in the country today.
