I found about a months worth of chicken of the woods on my run yesterday so i went back on the bike and harvested 2 gallon ziplocs worth, it looks completely untouched

Yup, and when you cut it up the inside has that cooked chicken cutlet look and texture. All you gotta do is cut it up in smaller pieces and sautée it, butter, EVOO or coconut oil are all incredible and give it a different character
Good thing about it too is that you cant confuse it with any other wild shrooms that can be poisonous. Harvest when their colors are crazy bright like that and you can break them apart in your hands, but wait too long and you're basically eating wood |
Plus free always = http://forum.blu-ray.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif

Banned now. I saw it coming. His user ID thingy used to be "No Muslims".
Dragged me down to his level and I'm sorry I let that happen. I try to remain silent in situations like that and just let the other guy implode. It's best not to try and stop a train wreck. One of my BFF's happens to be a devout Muslim from Bangladesh. I'd trust him with my life. -Tim- |
I guess I missed some drama earlier today.
From my ride yesterday... Right as I got dropped... :( http://i.imgur.com/PQYJ8bNh.jpg They repaved the road so it was a completely new experience up my favorite climb. Highly recommend anyone in the bay area to climb highway 236 into Big Basin. You go deep into old redwood growth and with the smooth roads, its a fairly easy climb now, and descending is amazing. http://i.imgur.com/XAYy7OJh.jpg From today's ride, my legs weren't feeling too hot, so I just did a quick hour and a half up the first climb on hamilton. New Search and State jacket is super super nice. http://i.imgur.com/mcqZiT6h.jpg |
A few snaps from yesterday, Solvang-Lompoc in Santa Barbara wine country. First 20 miles or so were into a headwind, but the other side of the loop was a blast.

Welcome to the south where air is still free and 93 octane is still available.

A friend of mine started a not for profit foundation to promote and improve the trail. He has an industrial blower which he tows behind a utility vehicle and blew 18 miles of trail a few hours before this picture was taken. Rockmart is the nicest section of the trail I have ridden yet! I have heard of this gentleman who does the blowing of the trail. Have ridden by his home several times, if it is the right house.:thumb: |

I never said that. You need to be careful on your editing. You do realize we can read all your posts you have made on the forum. Your history isn't looking to good.

Chris "Webgeek" Petit runs the trail foundation and owns the blower. You can find him at atlbike.org. There is another guy named Jim but riders and walkers were giving him a hard time so he stopped helping. I've not met Jim but I think he lives closer to the trail. I've posted all my trail pics at http://www.bikeforums.net/southeast/...il-photos.html -Tim- |
