Allatoona Creek Park, Acworth. It is Army Corps land leased by Cobb. Lots of trails maintained by SORBA and is a big MTB destination on the northwest side.

Visited Lotte World Tower, with its 123 floors rising 1,819 feet into the sky making it the tallest building in the OECD and fifth tallest overall in the world:

Completed this month, after 13 years of planning and 7 more of construction, the building brought over 3,000,000 square feet of space no one needed to a neighborhood where no one wanted it, at the cost of at least three lives, numerous construction-induced sinkholes threatening the foundational integrity of the host district, and incalculable disruption to the mostly residential neighborhood it inhabits.




The only other large-scale commercial developments nearby, in what is one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Seoul? Lotte World Amusement Park, Lotte World Mall, and Lotte World Hotel. The largest residential development? Lotte Castle Apartments. And the CEO of Lotte, which is one of the largest and most powerful conglomerates in the county? Recently indicted in connection with the corruption scandal that ousted the Korean president last month.

You're exactly right. It's popular to day camp on the river banks with beer and fried chicken when the weather is nice. I'll get a picture today if I can--it's a pretty wild scene.

This is my second stint. The first was right after university just to get away and experience something new. Now I'm here for family and work. I should officially become a permanent resident (not citizen) next year, although I may spend some time back in the US soon for career purposes.

Love this stuff, hearing about how people in other cultures live, what kind of cars they drive, what they eat for breakfast, etc. That's real life.

Do the Korean's line up for Kentucky Fried Chicken on Christmas like the Japanese?

Lol, no, but KFC is super popular at, of all places, baseball games. Speaking of baseball, here's one of Seoul's pro baseball stadiums, in the background on the left. Not too many campers out yet early on a Sunday morning, but this plaza will be totally packed by mid-afternoon:
