Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Dark and ominous as the name suggest, I thought it would only be proper.

This is a bridge over the Jackson River, somewhere between Covington and Clifton Forge.

Awesome shot, hwdxbassist.

Decided to snap two pics while I was riding on my way home from class today. As you can see elevation gain is almost a myth around here.

A couple shots form my ride downtown the other night. The first is the community college downtown (along the river); the second is the county courthouse.

planet of the apes is an abandoned stretch of Highway 1 that can make you feel like you’re Charlton Heston, the last human on the planet. The broken pavement is surrounded by thick poison oak and brush, but it is an entirely pleasant, car-free climb up a ridge.

Thanks for getting back to me.

That's pretty awesome. What size tire you running? Think 23's would be fine?
