Queens to Chelsea commute. Road testing an Optrix XD iPhone case for work. Kinda meh but the built-in wide angle lens is fun.

wanted some climbing time, so followed a path that accesses a ski hill sandwiched between a cemetery and a golf course. when i got too wobbly i took some pictures. not my best, as it was already cloudy and getting dark....

never considered dual position levers as QR, just like the more open position from the hoods. the QR being on the caliper. but, i've only been building since last year.....

Interesting. They'll definitely work that way, but that's not the intent. It's a quick release; not all calipers have them.

RGNY 11-14-12 07:41 PM

neat. i'm honestly surprised i'd never hear this before, but there's always more to learn. i've tried them in both positions, but prefer them as pictured. something to be aware of though if i ever get calipers w/o a QR.

Full album of photos is here. I'm the one in all black, with the blue cap and no helmet. One hell of a day.

I don't get it, this is supposed to be the fixed gear ride pics thread. Why am I seeing a bunch of brakes?

Nagrom_ 11-14-12 09:45 PM

What do brakes have to do with fixed gear?
