How well do those front ski jobbies work?
I gotta' say sumpin' about the Co-op. There was the really nice bike crowd there, and there was the bike rental (wing tip and dress sox crowd). Both had a terrific time. On the way back home, I saw two obviously underprivileged folk riding to the Co-op during regular shop hours. So cool. |

IMHO, they're more useful than fat bikes. I watched them in powder and on hardpack with just plain average riders aboard. I'll take a ski-jobbie.....mebbe tweak it with a wider studded rear tire and wider ski. That's it!! A snowboard ahead of a fat stud!

Most of the co-op nerds are pretty ok, too. Buncha hippies, hehe |

Easy-going is OK by me! Bought a few axle nuts while I was there. Had to fish 'em out of a box of 2000 various sized nuts. Much preferred over a high pressure sales experience I would have at a chain bike shop when trying to buy the same thing. I can hear it now: "No, we don't carry that size...they're antiquated and outdated. You need a new hub/axle combo....better still, we can put you on last year's model road bike at clearance prices." None of that at the Co-op.
