^^ Yowza.
This is one of my favorite moments from this year's TdF. Uran's rear derailleur was busted so he finished this stage stuck in 53-11 and pushed it to this single speed sprint win.

I call this "Shredding the Pinhotti Trail on a Gravel Bike."
A more apt title is, "Getting Dropped by an MTB Rider Who Had Just Ridden 146 Miles."
He was training for a Trans-Georgia MTB race and turns out he lives in the same town as me.
I really need a helmet mount for my camera.

On a related note, a buddy of mine has a Border Collie named Logan that would trail ride with us like Lilly. He was fast and he would work his way through a line of bikes after stopping for sniff or quick bathroom break. His owner was usually leading our group, and Logan would trail like that, and then you hit any kind of straight section and he accelerated past you like you were standing still. Several times we clocked him in the 18.5-19mph range. I watched him running on the left side of another rider, and Logan slowed down, switched over to the right side because there was a long sweeping right hand turn up ahead. As soon as it was clear he was gone back up to the front to ride shotgun with my buddy. Was a real sight to see.

Here is a video I made using "Axle Cam" on my fixed gear. I also used my shadow. It took a long time for my schedule and the sun to cooperate.
I like the sound of the chain in some scenes.
