Why not keep the wheels that came with it?

What do you do for a living that allows you to buy a brand new bike and allows you to be shopping for new wheels for it already?

Oh, don't get me wrong. I ride my bike, I went from an old trek which I converted to a fixie to this.
However I also ride road bikes and know what a difference a nice set of wheels can make.

The Alex wheelset is a bit heavy, hence why I'd like to upgrade or switch it out for something cooler and lighter.

Just fishing for ideas.

Thanks

This bike wont be ridden on a track, mostly used on the street or trails.

To answer your question:

Spend money to solve particular problems. No problems in particular? Then no need to spend money.

...or you can just send me your money and I'll tell you how nice your bike looks.

seriously because roadies like aero wheels doesn't mean your track bike needs new wheels.

aero is only important in speed and distance events. some of which are track events, but you're not even riding on a track so just ride.

Just use the front wheel offa your road bike if you are so concerned about good wheels. Donate the money saved by not buying new wheels to United Way. Really.
