Velocity B43 Wheelset Comments
Hi!
I'm looking for a good/lightweight and not so expensive wheelset and a friend told me about the Velocity B43 Wheelset.
Are these good wheels? How heavy are they?
Thank you for your comments.
Carlos

Why is that?
Carlos, I just got the B43 laced to a Phil Wood for my rear wheel. I've had it for about 2 months and I LOVE it.
However, if you're looking for the lightweight solution, this is not the one. They are heavy, your friend steered you wrong.
It's much heavier than my previous (stock) wheel. Acceleration requires much more of a push to attain, but it holds cruise speeds so well.
I was going for quality, longevity, and the deep look. This was the one I landed on and I am thoroughly impressed. Ran me about $400ish
Now on to my front wheel..(dont know what to get yet.).
Good luck, I'm sure you'll get a better recommendation on here.

Then there became a "deeper is better" mentality. The problem is that if you make aluminum rims deeper, you can't make them lighter. Because if you do, the walls will be too thin and you have issues like H+Son did:

The only way to make them deep and strong is to also make them heavy...or make them out of carbon:

So, you should probably consider some other rims.

Affordable and not as heavy:

Not as deep of a V, but still a V. Velocity calls them the "jack of all trades".

Everyone else around here seems to think it's interesting and funny. It's a shame that you're too stuck up to think so as well. Sorry that you have a miserable life Debbie Downer.

recheck my earlier post & you see that i was hoping your poetry which apparently was not original but a "meme" would turn out well & grow. it didn't & apparently neither can you. if you are gonna post in forums instead of always expecting attaboys from your local buddies, why don't you try getting a real sense of humor?
at least Muffin Man has the right idea, how bout another...
Onto the ancient bike
