Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Just finished my Langster

The brake is old, it was reused from my old Schwinn. Ill probably go with an inexpensive Tektro or Dia Compe.

Just for good measure I bought a new BB even though the cranks and BB are only around 4 months old, but after its first ride it confirmed most reviews say. The Powerspline BB has a clunk clunk .... clunk clunk .... clunk clunk thing to it. I might ditch the cranks for a SRAM S300 or some other inexpensive piece, but not right this instant.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Looking good!
I would lose the decals through. There's also a voice in my head that's whispering those wheels should be silver.

Very nice, I've been pretty tempted by the deals on that bike as well.

+1 for silver wheels though

I may get some black vinyl and cover them, just to see how I like it.

The price of the frame/fork, headset and seat post were too good to pass up. I would do it if I were you.

Wheels are staying black. Crank may be change to silver though.

To resemble this .............
