Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

At some point, the OP will hit some kind of terrain, and all of the efficiency of not having gears is lost.

It's pretty easy and very satisfying. Guy in back holds onto the shoulders or hips of guy in front, and we move in sync.

If you are going to commute but want the look of a fixed gear, why not try one of the five speed Kilos or a bike with an S3X?

Yes. I omitted the word frame I'm half asleep but I mean what makes it as fast, what's the main component. I know everyone matters. But what matters the most?

Only when you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior will your bike truly be fast. Praise Jesus, and the podiums will follow.

I could care less for something that doesn't exist. If I told you I saw a fairy would you believe that too?
