Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

BFSSFG Cogapalooza

With all things, there's a proper way to suggest ideas in a politically correct, safe and amazingly articulate manner that raises the bar of civility, but this is BFSSFG for ****sake.

We need a blow-out get together, where after a night of devil worship, beer drinking, bike riding until Nagram's soul is forfeit to the Gran Magus, we realize that not only was it amazing, but that they wrote a book about it that had followers for the next 2000 years.

tl;dfr

Let's have a BFSSFG bash. Discuss.

Only if we don't invite that Nagram guy. He keeps trying to hit on me while at the track. Something about my ass and bibs. I'm scared.

So now to the serious biznezz.

We all have chatted with each other for years (for some of us), all have a common interest and, while many have small enclaves of riders they can hang with that they met through the forums, why not work out the logistics of some form of a get together?

It might take a bit of time, but get some of the bike industry folks involved (Surly, Leader, All City) and you've got the makings of a bona fide annual event, dare I say mecca?

I'd be more than willing to get with people and try to start to p.r. something like this up, if people were seriously interested?
