Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? SSCX Frames

What are my options here? I have found the following:

- Motobecane Fantom Cross Uno
- On One Pompino
- On One Pompetamine
- All City Nature Boy
- Traitor Crusade SS
- Civilian Le Roi Le Veut

Anything else?

Leaning towards a Pompino cuz price and full mounts.

Thank you for starting this thread so I didn't have to. I have nothing to add, but everything to take away.

I had a chance at a really well priced Traitor, but zero rack/fender mounts is killin' it (in a bad way).

For a couple hundred over the traitor, I'd take it every time.

i have a 09 felt breed. it is awesome. [have you looked at the 2012 model? its sick]

i want a nature boy because eyelets/mounts/neon paint but lately i been wanting that new breed. that would be dumb having two breeds right...? but it looks like tron light cycle.

another option, if the bike needs versatility, is find an old miyata touring or equivalent. a lot of those late 80/early 90s touring bikes from companies with race heritage were just the roadie with canti studs and a degree slacker head and seat tubes. a while back i bought a 94 621ST that ended up being too small but it was totally race-able. just strip it of its gears and throw a cheap 'hanging at the back of the LBS' alex rims ss wheelset on.

you can beer in mess bag.

Salsa Chili Con Crosso has swappable dropouts so you can run it singlespeed. I've run my 2011 Chili singlespeed for about a year, but I'm in the process of switching it to 1x10 now. My old Cross-Check shall resume duties as SSCX.

Any BB30 or PF30 frame you like with one of these https://beercomponents.com/

They rock and are professionally cyclocross tested.

Surly Crosscheck and Origin8 CX700 are both singlespeed-compatible and have more mounts than you'll know what to do with.

I'm assuming Yummy wants SS (track) specific drops?

Otherwise, there are a world of CX-grade bikes (anything with a moderate rake and shorter chainstays) that would work with an EBB option.
