Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

no lol only a 5'8 137 lbs. i think i am just fit. i just play ball the whole summer and bike to parks and just ride a lot. since i'm riding hybrid the old school bike have highest gear ratio for mountain bike like 48/14 unless u change the rear cog. but i think most of them come with 14-24 or 14-28 cassette.

what type of bike u ride and your gear ratio??

So you are using a bike that isn't singlespeed or fixed? Then why are you posting here?

In order for the gear ratio that you have to be efficient you would have to be averaging at least 27.5 mph. I couldn't even max out a hybrid that fast. For the answer to your question, you really should look at the uncle sixty thread. Most of the people on this forum have gear ratios that are sensible. If they don't we start to make fun of them.

I tried the veggie burger on everything bagel thing. It was good.

I really doubt the OP has a av speed of 27mph.

If by workout you mean "wrecking my knees" then yes, you are doing that.

What the **** is up with the people starting threads the past few weeks? Somebody should run the idea of an IQ test to post on BF by Tom.

best way to stop btw.

if he is indeed running 26 inch wheels with 1.5" tires, and 46/16 - isnt he just at 72 GI?

as hilarious as this whole situation is, that unfortunately makes sense to me

/edit: nvm, its his friends bike...MAD frictions yo.
