Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I liked that show too bad it got canceled. Spike tv should have picked it up. Awesome hulu has episodes that never aired on tv.

Bikes: Bike Count: Rising.

I can't even bring myself up to watching mtb videos anymore, so I couldn't imagine myself being able to get through a video like that. I'd much rather ride.

You can't spell it out here because it's censored. And going around the censor is...ya know, CENSORED. So don't do it again.

I am listening to it while I do a few other things, I was hoping to pick up something useful. I just got another day at work.
And I have been losing weight more and more. I have no clue what to do.

About to sew start sewing myself a mostly white bag. I need a bag with more padding and a longer strap for work. I also need some whey powder.

I understand your point I just dont agree with the movie being the cause of kids riding like jackasses.

Bikes: Caad9, Fixed gear, Hardrock beater, 3 speed cruiser

riding a fixed gear isn't all that exciting.

if people aren't riding like jackasses, they're just riding their bike down the street.

if you want to watch people ride their bike down the street, thats cool.

but i think i would rather just go ride my bike instead of watching someone else do it.

finished it. definitely enjoyable, with the expected levels of jackassery. much more watchable than his youtube videos. the first race is probably the most oh **** moments, and after he's done preaching about how awesome these guys are it's nice to just sit back and watch the bikes in action. there's a semi annoying part towards the end where he makes himself the star of the film too, but when it's his footage, it's fun

Way better would be "fix v motor" where all parties are in on it. No surprises, both parties put the "pedal" down.
It'd be short but the wider appeal to drivers would really make it popular!

Besides, movies don't make people do things.

It was okay. The footage from Monstertrack XI and XII was good, but aside from that it was a lot of stuff I'd already seen on Youtube combined with too many minutes of "Lucas Brunelle is so cool" glamour shots. And not enough coverage of CMWC in Guatemala. Overall the movie didn't really have any focus or organization, but enough quality footage to make it enjoyable.

Might not be THEE cause, but I don't see how you can say it doesn't contribute.

I have a few friends that think its the greatest movie since avatard but I just dont get that pumped watching it.
Yeah it makes me wanna ride my bike fast but not against traffic, running lights, bunny hopping over semis, or backwards skidding down some SF streets.

Even if there's no cars, it still feels wrong to run reds. maybe its just me.

Especially in a city where people arent bike oriented whatsoever so if you cut them off, they'll probably follow you, and take you to juarez and you'll never be seen again.
