Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bike is coming fast, too. I ordered it yesterday and tracking shows it'll show up tomorrow.

When I see a lot of the other ss/fixed gears on the web going for $400 with offbrand components, I'm not sure how Nashbar is selling this one this cheap. But I'm glad they are.

Most likely two reasons - First, it is an older model and older models get discounted pretty good. Second, it was not a very popular color scheme though I like it well enough. I bought my 2011 Madison for a silly low price from Nashbar - older model and not well liked color scheme. The bike is now the wife's and she is quite happy with it. Enjoy the savings!

Well, they just discounted it even more today. I checked the website and the price dropped to $311.99. Since Nashbar has a 15-day price guarantee I called in and they refunded me the difference.

Man, this is an awesome deal, and they still have some in stock. Whoever is reading this should jump on it.
