Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Just bought this...

I hope I made a good choice. It seemed like a really good price for the given components.

It's actually a great bike for the cost.

Even after having sandblasted.

Good choice for the money. Now take the rest of the money that you saved and invest in some good sandpaper to get rid of the dragons.

Thanks for the input. I don't care about the dragons =) I just ordered a new stem and riser bars for it and I've got a Brooks B17 and a White Ind DOS ENO sitting around that I think will go nicely on it. It should come together for a good ride.

no it's not, the chain ring is worth about $50 new on ebay buy it now, at auction the blue messenger rings got for $35 shipped while the black go for around $45. the sugnio RD2 crank arms go for $90 without a chain ring, and $120 with a basic chain ring

with an MSRP sticker price of $149.99 (fake price, lbs price nobody pays)

$420 to your door, that crank set isn't worth $210.
media blasting a bicycle frame isn't cheap and the my $300 media blasting cabinet won't fit a bike O.o have to that that **** to a shop, and booth rental isn't cheap

It was actually an awesome bike. i sold it already btw. same amount i paid, i listed it for sale and like 5-6 dudes started calling me within the hour and, gone. those hubs were awesome, the wheel set was awesome, frame rode real nice too. the saddle was a selle san marcos with "race gel" and that was a piece of ****, i had someone trying to trade me a brand new fizik arione ? for it
but i just sold the bike. the way it was setup, apperantly the duraace **** on it was worth more than my bike

Im selling my state bike too.

thats a lame saying. I wanted to keep some of the parts on it, particularly everything stamped with the NJS logo, the ad didn't list that it had christophe cages, that fit my allen edmond shoes i wear day to day without scuffing my leather soles. seriously, it was a nicer bike than whats in the OP. it was chaper too. those gator skin tires go for like $100, the hubs went for $100 and so did the hoops. so that right hthere, blows that dragon one pr w/e out of the water, plus throw a handul of NJS parts on it, awesome drops, not to mention cheaper than what the bike he bought was.

Dude, you're far too ridiculous for SSFG. Come back when you have a bike you can actually ride.

SO now the rule of thumb is you either have to be wearing skinny jeans or bibs to ride a fixedgear/bicycle?
