Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Are these compatible?

I took Scrod's advice and picked up a pair of sram s300's, although I didn't buy them new, so they didn't come with the necessary GXP BB.

However, a friend of mine sold me an FSA MegaExo BB (on the cheap, of course) and when I brought it to my LBS the mechanic said the sram s300's would fit just fine with the FSA MegaExo BB. I was a bit skeptical but the mechanic said he was very experienced, so I took his word for it.

In short, can my GXP-intended crankset be used on a FSA MegaExo BB?

Isn't one of the big bonus points for the S300s the fact that it comes with a BB? I know that is a reason that I'm considering them...

Perhaps Scrod used incorrect grammar while communicating?
