700c by 25 is pretty medium. To generalize, narrower is faster and wider is smoother.

If you're really cheap you can have JensonUSA pricematch and you still get free shipping, should come in right at $50.

1/8" chains work on any chainring or cog
3/32" works only on 3/32" gear

What kind of hubs are on the wheelset you're getting? That determines what lockring you can use.

I saw $75 for a set of Paselas and thought we were talking specifically about the TourGuard version.

They're much more expensive and not as practical.

You can use a "regular" lockring on formula hubs. This will do https://www.velomine.com/index.php?ma...k4simh8b0bfp02

You're either going to need proper tools to install your cog and lockring or add labor charges at the local bike shop.

I'm not talking about a hammer and a screwdriver. A lockring spanner is a very specific tool.

Yeah but what is a once-over? Make sure the headset and bottom bracket are installed correctly? Or just look at your bike and give you a thumbsup.gif?

A lot of shops offer a safety inspection for about half the price of a box build, should be around $30-$40.

You don't need the wheels trued, especially from Velomine.

Tell them to double check the tension and that's it. Velomine does an excellent build with good tension, you certainly don't want some shop monkey messing with them. My first wheelset from Velomine went more than 6,000 trouble free miles before I wore through my rim and rebuilt the set.

ftfy - probably gonna be more than $10 for any one of those unless you get a screamin deal.

Nope. And that chainwhip won't work with 1/8 inch cogs.
