Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

You just had a meltdown and said you were buying a new wheelset, now you're saying you'll use your old ugly hub. Which is it?

Just bring your bike into your local bike co-op and have them fit a set of 700c wheelset to see if they'll work with your frame and fork. You could also just use a set of 650c wheelset.

You have a fairly nice frame. If you can save up just over $100 there are some good wheelsets available, like these at Velomine

That's not very nice. Often deforms bars a bit.

NDS = non-drive side. Chain goes on the camera side.
