Finally got my steamroller how I want it. I actually bought some parts specifically for this one. First time in a LONG time using silver parts by choice.
Polished the stem (cheapo origin-8) on the polishing wheel at work. While I was on the clock. Gotta learn somehow.
I love this PRO tape you can get at cambria for $10. Nice texture and a great price. I try not to ride with gloves when the weather allows.

I just received this 2009 GT Gutterball this morning (new old stock). I got a pretty good deal on it and its a size L.
I'm 5'10 and the stand over clearance seems ok - I have about 1/2 inch or so between my boys and the top tube.
I took it out for a quick spin after I assembled and checked everything. I could probably raise the seat up a little bit - not much though. The reach is not as far as my road bike, but it doesn't feel cramped. I could alwyas get a longer stem I suppose.
I know I do not have have any foot retention yet - I have Hold Fast pedal straps on order to fit the platform pedals I put on.
This is my first fixie and I think it may take some getting used to.

Thanks for the feedback! I was thinking about replacing the stem and seat post with silver ones as well. I think those are just red caps in the pedals - maybe I can pop them out.

i know its not a whole bike, but im psyched on it. all the parts for it are coming in the mail soon. its my first fixed gear and first complete build.
cleaned it up the best i could, it was pretty grimy. regular bar soap and warm water made my 531 fork decals start ghostin but not the seat tube one for some reason. oh well.
cant wait to show you guys when its done.

That Eimei is just gorgeous! Real nice job.
bro - is that a vintage frame? Not familiar with Kitching, figured you wouldn't mind telling me about it

GT Gutterball - ok, I got rid of the black seat post but not the stem. Instead I replaced the black handle bars with silver ones and I think this gives me a good balance of black and silver. I think it makes the bike look "lighter" so to speak. I have my foot retention in place and even bought a crane bell and some new oury grips. I cannot seem to get those red caps out of the peddles so I will just leave them.
I am quite happy with how it looks and rides!
