Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

and i thought putting bullhorns on my fixed gear project was the highlight of my summer... this is a great idea, especially for the trails i ride. my mtb isnt fixed, but it is a specialized similar to johnnytheboy's. I do wish my frame was this blacked out though, still has some gold accent paint that I really am not too fond of.

this is my "jogging" bike. I live in Oakland, the Lake Merrit area. it's perfect for spinning laps around the 3 mile lake. I have to keep my legs spinning at least 95 rpm to maintain 18 MPH.

Jamis Sputnik- Dur ace High Flange hubs laced to Mavic open pro CDs, Dura ace track crank, Izumi super toughness chain and a wonderfully noisy white industries freewheel.

It could just be the old pads but there aren't replacements. Maybe I can carve up some KoolStops to fit.

Dat unicrown. At least you're confirming my curiosity about Hollowtech cranks for fixed gear.
