Flipped the chain a little while ago and thanks for all your comments guys. I'm getting swayed more and more towards a black crankset but I got the DA cranks at such a steal price I don't want to let go.

Sell em, make a profit, and buy an equally nice crankset in black if you want.

What I commute on, I may change from fixed to a freewheel cause I like being lazy.

My local powder coater does cranks for BMX riders often and cheap. But, if that's your shoe rub I'd probably not go that route.

You could have them anodized pretty easily/inexpensively as well.

That's a better option. I'm ignorant as to who does such things, though. Are there companies who do nothing but anodizing or what do you look for? I've thought about having my gnarly Nuovo Record cranks anodized black.

A lot of custom hot rod or motorcycle shops either do it or can point you in the right direction.

So can you 'splain to me the back story on why the Fuji Track Pro is a Nishiki?
edit: just read your pedalroom explanation. Any pics of the original nishiki?
Also @ adrian_, maybe try just a black chain ring if you don't wanna make it all black.

the fuji track pro was basically because i knew how good it looked all one color, koshi's black one was the inspiration. and then after making it all black i figured well the only other thing to do is some crazy custom paint job. so i did that and built up the wheels and now... well... i keep forgetting how much i like it this way. i might plastidip the whole thing black.
i attached the headtube badge with hot glue. same with the raleigh.

Nice. You should put Gan Well Pro decals on it.
