Not everyone who enjoys good beer is a snob that uses words like "craft" and "gastropub" (wtf?)
<-- case in point. I enjoy strong ales (IPAs), stouts/porters, and especially sours... I think that those who hate on "craft" beer hate on the crowd/trend as much as they just don't appreciate good beer, and as such are happy drinking mass-produced swill. Yes, @T13 and @Scrodzilla, I am hating on you guys a little bit, but tell me, amiright? |
the term gastropub literally makes me nauseous. it sounds like a place you go when you have diarrhea. everyone there is just ****ting everywhere and the floor is covered in **** stew.

that could go for just about anything these days, people discover some weird niche thing on tumblr and then their entire life is devoted to it like they discovered fire
"oh i crochet trees by comission now using organic farm raised handspun virgin yarn dyed with all natural vegetables from the farm on my fire escape" |
Yeah that's true. Often though it's not even a "weird niche thing". It's usually something that alot of other people have been doing for years. But the people have been doing it for years are "normal" people, so to hipsters, they don't count.

Good beer for when you are enjoying a nice dinner or want something to enjoy.
Cheap beer for every other occasion. Gastropub sounds ******y as hell. |

No way man, you misunderstood me. I've been drinking "good beer" for many years. I'm not "hating on craft beer". I'm hating on craft beer ******bags who wax poetic constantly, going on and on about things they just discovered, but acting like nobody else in the world has. Personally, I really don't drink that often. Maybe once a week, working on something at home, or band practice, but when I do, I drink decent stuff. Real cheap beer usually makes me feel pretty awful, even if I only have a small amount, so I try to stay clear of it.

Words that irk me:
"craft" beer cyclist fixie |

I honestly don't think about it or care very much. I am who I am, like what I like and (unlike most people) I'm totally comfortable with that.
I realize now that I was hating on you guys for hating on beer snobs who hate on regular drinkers, like ourselves! #hatersgonnahate Also,

Gotcha. Beer snobs everywhere have made it difficult for everyday guys like you and me to enjoy a "craft" beer - sometimes people have made me feel like I need a ****ing phD in fermentation to appreciate good beer, which is totally lame.
Yeah, it's weird when people pontificate about things they like, and make it seem way more complicated than it is. Those kind of people turn every****ingthing into an event. They can't simply say, " rode my bike home and stopped for a beer", instead it's "rode my fixie home and stopped for a craft beer". I guess it's basically "branding" so that hipsters can show that they are more "hip" than the rest of us. I bet Scrod secretly takes baths, with candles lit, listening to Morrissey at least once a week because people don't like what he likes sometimes. Haha |

this is what i hate about this general snobbery of things like this. people make it seem like they know everything and you know nothing about a particular thing, and your level of knowledge doesnt matter. why cant i just like something because its ****ing good? |
Get back to work, guys.

That's exactly how they get away with it. Not everyone wants sports and/or "craft" beer that tastes like bile.

I didn't say they should carry $9/glass craft beers. Just that Budweiser sucks and I would love a better beer with their delicious pizzas.

/cue all the "but i define hipster like [super narrow definition that basically renders the term useless] so you're not really a hipster!" f:)g. Yeah yeah yeah. I was looking at some of the early "jackass" pics. Sue me. Ya'll are boring lately. |
