Bikes: Foundry Chilkoot Ti W/Ultegra Di2, Salsa Timberjack Ti, Cinelli Mash Work RandoCross Fun Time Machine, 1x9 XT Parts Hybrid, Co-Motion Cascadia, Specialized Langster, Phil Wood Apple VeloXS Frame (w/DA 7400), R+M Supercharger2 Rohloff, Habanero Ti 26

Dynamos are great and I highly recommend using them but if you do use one you really don't need 5 back up lights.

I happened upon this article just now. Sorry if its been posted before, but if you like to cringe, its worth the read. Especially the "anatomy of a fixie" section

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

Must be a jackass convention.

Just happened upon This article.

Here's a taste:

Honestly not a bad looking bike for what it is, but the fact that they called a 3 speed belt drive commuter hybrid e-bike "the fixed" kind of furrows the brow.

Not a "fixie in the traditional sense" because it doesn't have a freewheel...

Sifting through the archives at fixedgeargallery and I unearthed this gem from 2008. I wonder how this dude would feel if he saw this 11 years out

Also the "DEALER" from 2011. He was selling it because "the season is over".

How much do you think those wheels weigh?

Bikes: Too Many

I really don't understand why people build things like this.

thats ugly as sin, but in no way ‘jackass’, and pretty much what you’d expect bugatti to create.

I don't know...The riveted cranks and department store bike Shimano group make it pretty jackass to me.

Are you kidding? This thing is great. I'd ride it right down the middle of Peachtree Street on a Sunday afternoon pumping Ludacris jams.

"Brunei Crazy Ride" - I did work at the offices for the Brunei ambassador to the UN and met the Ambassador himself. Brunei is a rich nation and the offices were a pretty swanky joint.

Change the i to L and it reads "Brunel Crazy Ride" Wonder what Lucas would think.

Nice, got some southern ATL representation right there! Plenty of nostalgia for me and Ludacris jams

While in many ways I am glad the internet and social media didn't exist when I was a kid, a lot of the stuff we built out of our parts bikes would qualify for this thread. Shame I never took any pics. Back in the day, it cost money to get that film developed!

clearly the real issue is that he's riding a B17, which was designed for a more upright position. All he needs is to swap out for a swift or a swallow and then he's good to go.

edit: because I'm new to the forum, it won't let me post pics. the bike in question is on page 6... you'll know it when you see it

Really? I think that bike is kinda dope... In a romantic-yet-sincere utilitarian/beausage sort of way. My head would involuntarily yank right around in knowing appreciation if I passed by someone riding that bike.

Yeah. I've been riding this bike to school for the past 8 days but it is too small.

I'm gonna start commuting on the CCM again. I usually lock the frame and the wheels but this was a quick stop.
