The seatpost has been cut to save weight.

That cable routing is anti-aero

Definitely not meant to break a record.

Its just a "go fast" bike. Meh.

I can't see the picture because its so small, but based solely on the face that the tires are huge in proportion to the rest of the bike, I'm going to go with ****ing awesome.

I always see a bike locked up on my way to work that has the same bar setup, except with a bar end lever. Slime green tape and tires of course.

That doesn't mean it's not stupid.

edit: Actually, I think it's even more dumb after reading the article.

Yup, and the front brake is on the right, euro/motorcycle style.

I finally realized that it was internal routing, but this answers what else didn't look right.

hairnet 05-20-13 02:01 PM

But it is right. My brakes are like that too.

Wrong choice of words on my part.

According to Sheldon Brown, the choice of right/left for back brake levers was originally based on the country the bike was built in. Same with motorcycles. In the US it's the right side of the road, for most people, so traditionally the back brake lever is on the right.

Nagrom_ 05-20-13 02:36 PM

I'm right handed. So I prefer to have my most used actions on the right, those being front brake and rear shifting.

Muffin Man 05-20-13 02:43 PM

I have my rear brake on my right lever because that's how my first road bike was set up, so I haven't changed it since.

LesterOfPuppets 05-20-13 02:54 PM

I always have 16oz lattes in my right hand, so front brake on the left for me. Only brake on the left on my sweet fixie.
