I'm certain I've got the correct thread. It's a classic frame that's somewhat rare and sought after and can fetch a good deal of money of in good condition and unaltered. Someone went through the trouble to filet braze track ends but didn't even bother matching the paint. I guess we all have different thresholds for what's crap and what isn't. This just goes to show.

Yeah, but yours probably doesn't have Diacompe brakes and all those other high quality bits making it soooooo much more valuable. The stupid thing is, some idiot will buy it from him. It's an oft observed phenomenon that once you're past any real value for something, the higher you price it, the more likely you are to sell it.
