I am 220 lbs and ride about 100km per week over here in Cambodia. looking for a lightweight bike for in town riding.

Haven't ridden that specific bike. But I don't mind aluminum for a commuter (won't rust). I've abused my aluminum Giant bowery, and I've been as high as 200lbs, no issues. mtb trials, jumps, etc.

I had one(Swift 2 with the carbon fork). It rides like ass. It's not particularly lightweight.

I would take a slightly heavier steel bike over it any day.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Bikes Direct will ship anywhere but the USA.

Returning to the States in May might get something then. Would like the simple look but would have to change a lot would prefer 48t up front and 13 in back & other simple changes.

I have it. Really harsh ride. Parts had to be upgraded really early on, had to repack the hubs on the stock wheels once or twice in the year before I bought new ones. Even though its really cheap, its not worth it at all.

any more thoughts on the swift2? i'm in lust with SS riding lately, and am on the hunt.
not interested in building a random used frame...want a reasonably plush ride without breaking the bank.
tried a new Pista, fast, but rattled my teeth.

after riding some steel bikes the last couple weeks....can't say that steel is always better.
