Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Purchase Help?

So I'm grabbing a new bike this week and I have narrowed it down to three choices.

Schwinn Madison

https://www.schwinnbikes.com/bikes/urban/madison

GT Meatball

https://www.gtbicycles.com/2013/bikes...meatball-17889

And the Fuji Feather

https://www.fujibikes.com/bike/details/feather

I'll be honest, I'm not full of technical bike knowledge but I do know I want a ss / fixed gear but I'm also intrigued by the GT's coaster breaks / 2 speed hub

Any opinions on what the best bike for my money is?

Appreciate it.

The frame is Hi-Ten and most of the other parts are pretty rubbish too. I had one, it was very heavy and the saddle is one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever sat on.

Bikes: Jamis Sputnik, Leader 722 Heritage Edition, Brompton, Bianchi Via Nirone, Robinson SST, Diamondback Sorrento

Out of those 3 choices, I'd go with the Kilo TT.

Seriously though, go back to the LBS and ask to see the Feather again, if your choices are limited to what you listed. For less money you could order online to get the kilo TT as others have suggested, but as an entry level bike, the Fuji will do the job nicely. The meatball, while it has a 2 speed hub with a coaster brake is the one of the three in your list that you will need to buy parts to make it fixed.
