Some old dude on a weird electric bike just went flying by the shop (on the wrong side of the road, naturally), apparently lost traction on the wet road while getting ready to take the corner, sideswiped the curb and ate it really hard. I went outside to see if he was alright as he was just getting to his feet on the sidewalk and he began yelling "Shut up! Son of a *****! Son of a *****!!!" and threw his helmet at the ground.

It's going to be a good day.

edit: he called a tow truck.

Too late! I had a few customers and the UPS guy come in right when the tow truck got here but I did manage to hear the guy screaming about how he was a AAA member and the driver saying he couldn't do anything because his bike wasn't a motor vehicle. I don't know how it all ended but the guy was gone shortly after that.

Today I have the day off, had brunch with my boo and was a good ol' consumer and did some shopping. Later tonight, the Tiny Fix Duck Hunt alleycat! I'm working a checkpoint in a park and will be dressed as Princess Peach. Should be a fun night.

Today I got my girlfriend to go on a small hike with me. Amazing. She is not an outdoors person. "outdoors" in the middle of the city.

Today I got hit by a car twice. The first time they side swiped me, and I stayed on both wheels and kept going. They turned off the road to try and avoid me, and I caught up to them. I banged on their window and said, "you hit me *******" and he didn't even roll the window down or acknowledge me, then when the light turned green I started riding and made a right turn. Then they flew around the corner and ran me down, pushing me with their jeep and killing my kilo. I have a ton of road rash and a severely sprained an le but now I have no bike and want to kill someone for ruining a bike that I love more than anything and for trying to kill me.

Please file a police report just to make a record. Get well soon. We all encounter road rage and it can be scary as ****.

I called the police and got their plates, I'm just glad I can walk(with crutches) away. I finally had that bike perfect , and I was so happy riding it to and from work 25ish miles a day. I'm going to replace it with a vintage roadie when possible, I don't think any parts are salvageable, maybe my gr9's but everything else is done.

People are dicks.

Today I did 26 miles in 100+ degree heat and went through both 24oz bottles of water with still 5 miles to go. I just drank 2 full nalgene bottles full of water and am still thirsty.
