J&K furniture i think. warehouse style layout. I usually found good finds through them.

worth a try!

edit:
the times i visited them, all of what they had to sell was cleaned and in good shape. completely different than a good will or savers i might add.
been a few years though.

I think we might have went there, I think they changed their name. That's where we found the black 80's couch.

I think we might have found something at Crate & Barrel, gonna go check it out next weekend. I was trying to avoid those types of stores, but it looks decent and is reasonably priced.

Home stuff, ugh.

Today I'm sad I missed that state bike review thread before it got locked. I've been running a successful bike blog for over 2 years, throw events, my girls and I put tons of time into it and the most free **** we've gotten is some embro cream and a messenger bag. Sigh.

But would you ride it with under inflated tires and give it the scientific test of "it feels light"?

I definitely wouldn't post a ridiculously huge image-heavy post on BFSSFG; I'd post it on my own damn blog. I guess I'm just used to other parts of the internet where self-promotion and shilling is quickly deleted, with prejudice. :D

I just let my wife tell me what we're going to buy, really it's the same with everything. She has good taste and I just don't care that much.

Me too. I only fight the battles that matter to me, plus she is admittedly much better at it than me.

Today I went on /r/fixedgearbicycle for the first time. My eyes bled.

Cute Boy Horse 01-13-14 08:49 PM

+1 My GF gets sucked into ****** on a daily basis and I just can't deal with the "internet caption contest"
After spending a week fiddling with TRP CX8.4s on my CX bike, last night I finally got them dialed in. :thumb: Finding the right balance of toe-in and rim clearance was a huge PITA.

spRICE 01-14-14 10:36 AM

Today I shaved my legs. It was a pain in the ass, but totally worth it :D.

Registered for the draft.

Dannihilator 01-14-14 09:25 PM

Today I rode street and gave the dmr some much needed attention as in new bottom bracket.

Huffandstuff 01-14-14 11:18 PM

Tried to ride my bike today after an eleven hour work day but my lights started dying 20 minutes into it so I just cut back and went home and ate ****** egg salad instead.

FakeFuji 01-15-14 08:21 AM

Today New Jersey is a wonderful place to ride a bike

misskaz 01-15-14 10:04 AM

rode my bike to work today for the first time in a while. temp was in the high teens. i was worried about, well, everything but the ride was totally fine.

somehow a single ten mile bike ride didn't magically erase all the winter laziness + polar vortex + holiday face stuffing weight gain wtf.

GENESTARWIND 01-15-14 10:11 AM

your "all the winter laziness + polar vortex + holiday face stuffing weight gain"
made me laugh :)

im in the same boat no worries. We just have to get out and ride more.

Scrodzilla 01-15-14 10:14 AM

**** the polar vortex. It's going to be 81° in San Diego today.

solipsist716 01-15-14 10:24 AM

Headed up to Saratoga Springs/Glen Falls for the next three days for work.

So... not totally missing Beverly, Mass, and New England in general...?

Scrodzilla 01-15-14 10:40 AM

There are things we miss. The weather isn't one of them.

word. i'm lucky that for me "weight gain" is at most like 5 lbs (i actually don't weigh myself because bodies are for doing things not for being weighed and judged so that's just a guess.) it's really just the lack of activity makes me feel gross and flabby more than any real significant changes.

misskaz 01-15-14 10:57 AM

also i JUST KNEW the minute i mentioned the temp scrod would be in here all smug and **** with his san diego weather report. ;)
