Went hiking "upstate" with my cousin at Breakneck Ridge.
Here are a few stills from the gopro.

Felt nice to get out of the concrete jungle and interact with actual nature.
I'll be hiking Mohonk Mountain this weekend.

Dannihilator 08-05-14 07:33 PM

Mad respect, that's one of the few things I can't bring myself up to do.

I just started getting back into lifting since the Shoulder rehab is done, I missed squatting so much. Whats your IRM?

Thanks. I love hiking, I was surprised how well I did considering it was a semi tough climb and I have not ran in months (though I bike a lot).

I am excited to scope it out. Let me know if you ever want to make your way to Westchester to go for a hike.

thedapperest 08-06-14 10:54 AM

Today I started reading hockey news, then realizing I had summer reading to do, started procrastinating

definitely, i havent had a legit hike in quite a long time. ive been on the croton aqueduct trail up there on the bike which is pretty interesting but then at the same time also very uninteresting (weird now that i think about it)

Hyperbole 08-06-14 11:58 AM

Nice pics AristoNYC . Looks to be about 1.5 hours away by car. Not bad. On a 1-10 scale, how tough was the hike?

Wendell F 08-06-14 06:58 PM

Today I found out that the SUV that hit me and bolted through a red light left me with a fractured elbow (because I was signaling a left turn at the time and he decided passing me on the left was a good idea) and a fractured tailbone (I literally busted my a$$). Well there goes my summer. Now I get to commute by train sitting on a donut so people think I have debilitating hemorrhoids.

Ouch, hope you heal quick.

Today I put in 42 miles. 1 year ago today I got hit by a SUV.

Today I am butthurt about not being able to snag a Vintage Giant 980c Cadex off of craigslist. Whoever you are that bought it, I am so butthurt at you. I wanted vintage carbon fiber you blanking blanker.

GENESTARWIND 08-07-14 01:08 AM

Don't know my maximum and I'm 180. I just got back into lifting and it wasn't till recently that I started 5x5 routine.
I was doing deadlift at 225 today and I think I had my form slightly off because tweaked something around my tail bone which pisses me off because i need to wait now then drop back on weight and refocus on form.

Today I commuted to work for the first time on my fixed gear I just bought. I'm in Bristol UK and it is very hilly here. Just counted my cogs and looks like I'm running 48 x 16.. so to me that's an accomplishment haha.

seau grateau 08-07-14 02:57 PM

Happy IPA Day y'all!

I used to run on the aqueduct trail from Tarrytown, It wasn't so great. I like running in Graham Hills in Pleasantville which is a mountain bike trail which is good for trail running.

Breakneck Ridge wasn't too bad to be honest. I haven't ran or done anything but bike in a few months and I had more than enough stamina to complete it. There were a few hairy spots that get steep but there is ways around, I, like an idiot choose the harder paths. I highly recommend doing it either way.

Today I rebuilt my Dyad wheel because sometimes I offroad too hard and kill wheels :( To make it worse the only replacement rim available was black instead of silver

iTripped 08-07-14 11:55 PM

Tonight I went for a ride with a pal, but it devolved quickly into finding a place for a drink. Once we found a place, I proceeded to order $25 glass of rum. I wasn't expecting it to cost quite that much, but at least it was good stuff I hadn't had in a while.
