I started refurbishing a pre-war bicycle. I just posted a thread in C&V asking if anyone could help identify it. Reproduction tires for the long obsolete 28 x 1-1/2 "single tube" tires are $150 a piece. Guess I'll cross that bridge when I am nearing completion.
Cool bike. That tire size is still alive and well in the third world. Schwalbe make the Delta Cruiser in that size for just a tad over $20. Even available in cream, if you're into that. Delta Cruiser HS 392 | Schwalbe North America |

Those are clincher 28 x 1-1/8. My wheels are wooden tubulars with the same nominal size. Thanks, though. Sheldon Brown's Bicycle Glossary Sa--So
That makes the bike even more unique. Good luck with the restoration. |
Climbed the steepest hill in my area (avg. grade %16) and went 60km/h down the other side with 46x17. Oh ya, and got caught in a pretty severe thunderstorm. My favourite fixed ride to date.

Geared up my Univega Gran Primeo again. It's fun fixed but funnerer with gears (I found some 8speed Dura Ace DT shifters and I had to use them immediately!) I guess if I'm going to keep a FG I need a frame I can't put gears on.

http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/...ps46aead62.jpg I'd probably go for some of the mellower CX tubulars. Challenge Griffo, maybe. $87 apiece or so. Challenge Grifo XS 33 Tubular Cyclocross Tire at BikeTiresDirect Or these Tufos. Tufo Flexus Dry Plus Tubular Cyclocross Tire at BikeTiresDirect |

These are 7402. The rear shifting isn't perfect so I will try Sheldon Brown's alternate cable routing

Got my first KOM during a nighttime spin on the fixed gear. I wasn't even wearing my lycra :p

Co-op has had a ton of donation bikes lately so I spent the evening overhauling this old racing bike to be sold. Too bad it isn't my size :D

I convinced my girlfriend last month or so to get a bike and now she's browsing around for parts to buy and going out on rides by herself. Hopefully I can keep her excitement up during the winter.

Today I got a sega genesis.

I still have mine from back in the day but it doesn't work. My dad did just order a N64(again, my old one doesn't work) that I'm going to steal from my little brother so I can play Ocarina of Time.
I bought a genesis for a midlife dose of beat em up games. |
Reminds me of young Christmas and playing Sonic 2 on many a "sick" day from school. Also convincing my parents to let us rent Streets of Rage at the Blockbuster or West Coast Video. Way too many nostalgias right now, gotta go.
|
And of course Mortal Kombat and the blood code I still remember so you could uppercut people off the pit. Now I really gotta go.

Im mad, I missed my last rep on barbell squat. Guess I wont be hitting 200 this week. Oh well :|
