Today I got stood up for a date, decided to go on a bike ride. Met an even hotter girl (who had lots of tattoos like me). Funny how things work out.

Today I bought a used kilo team frame, it's actually really pretty in person

Today i think ive decided to get a merckx corsa frame and build it up with athena instead of ultegra disc caadx for road/cross

Today I threw my back out while carrying a bunch of stuff over some rocks at the beach. This week is going to hurt.

not actually today, but I just recently learned that the old green bike my dad threw out when I was like 14 was a merckx, wouldve been too tall for me anyway tho.

still, im not happy with him.

Got up at the butt crack of dawn to hit the MEC gear swap (Mountain Equipment Co-op) which happens bi-annually and has some of the best deals on gear you can imagine... warranty returns, demos,and overstocks selling for a fraction of retail. People start lining up at dawn and all the stuff (a lot of it )is usually gone in minutes.

I almost never get up at the butt crack of dawn or get in the lineup and usually prefer to check out private sellers who also come with all kinds of schwag.

My $45.00 got me about $500.00 worth of gear I was looking for and the boots were the best deal and also picked up a new suspension backpack and a light 1.5 man tent for another $35.00.

Fell off my bike and bruised my leg up pretty good, could have been worse so its ok.

Today I finally was able to solve one of the mysteries of mine around the bike racks here. You guys won't believe it until I post back pics once I get home.

Today I started to build my new kilo frame, I just need a lock ring and toupe off of my old bike, once the police give it back

Today I went hard to stay in front of a storm that never came to be.

Today I felt really good when riding. Work commute today put me at 18 miles, and then this afternoon I pounded out another 36. Feeling stronger every day, and my ride-times are starting to show it. feelsgoodman.

Today I mowed lawns and got stinky.

Now gonna shower and ride this around some more, cruise the MILFage on the MUPage.

Today I went on my regular group ride on my fixed gear, (for the first time). I was very pleased i was able to keep up since it is a fairly hilly route. Emboldened by this meager success, i want to try it again.

One of my favorite high school teachers was arrested for child porn today.

I always enjoy your eccentric builds, Lester. I also like those motorcycle-sized Dia Compe levers. I want to build an indestructable townie/thrash bike with as many actual motorcycle parts as I can retrofit on a bicycle some day.
