Congrats good sir!

The question is now -- what bike are you going to build/take with you?

rad!

Today I got a better job offer than the one that ended up dicking me over. Assuming I pass their drug test ( I should.. ) I start Monday. Then I went for a cold as balls 37mi ride.

The train is always there but the tickets require luck to be purchased.

I visited my Gf in the valley today. This meant riding my bike back over the hill after a long day. Not so bad because I got to bomb some DWP power line dirt access roads in the dark. It has been a while since I did some night time dirt riding. Very refreshing plus I got to test these RiBmo tires off road and I'm glad to say they aren't bad.

Only thing I haven't liked with RibMos is riding a wet and smooth street. Something about that crown on the tread feels unstable.

Well, not much wet riding here. I released pressure for about two seconds before hitting the dirt and the tires felt nice and squishy. I would do the same if I had to ride in rain.

Tonight I'm going to see August Burns Red, miss may i, fit for a king and northlane.
I also just bought tickets to see Mastodon in May and Pennywise in March.
Have my last tattoo appointment tomorrow for my right leg, then I just have my left leg to do and my bodysuit will be done.
Good start to the year.

A while back I said I was building a weight bench from scrap tubing. I finally got around to taking some photos of my setup. I need to get around to making a proper bench and finishing the barbell supports (right now it's just 3/8" solid rod held in place by leverage). I present to you the prison yard:

Ever wonder what quality welds you get form a Harbor Freight fluxcore wire welder? Functional but not consistent or attractive. The wire feeder jams terribly when the spool starts to run low. I could dress it up with a wire wheel and chip off the slag and overspray, but it hardly matters on this temporary rack.

And finally, a roughly cut hole with oxy-acetylene for the barbell support:

Reynolds performance series are nice wheels for the money if you want carbon.
Otherwise chris king laced to archetypes are a great bombproof combo. Great cornering and a freewheel that's intimidating at the same time.
