What? Get out of town! I didn't know that. So then are the colored GP4K's the same as the GP4KS's but just a different color? I thought the 4S's were extra special.

The S's, and the black 4Ks, use black chili compound.

The colored versions do not, so probably don't grip as well.

I'm going to pretend the S stands for spicy!

Drove out to the main shop to pick up some parts and to fondle shiny new hubs... the picture really cannot do them justice.

S stands for Schwarz.

Got a call today that the Dead Babies ride was in five minutes like 3~ miles away, put on some pants and got a solid sprint the whole way there, took me ten minutes from the phone call to being in the crowd. Nothing like mobbing a super hipster bike in a pack of freak bikes.

Today: more ****ing sneaker losers.

I think the mall actually hired mercs now because they got ALL up in my face and one of them looked like he was reaching for a piece.

Seriously people, theyre goddamn SNEAKERS. Im just trying to get to work on time.

striknein 06-08-13 08:04 PM

Bought a new grill. The old one was ****ing awful.

Today I went with a buddy to Y's Road for a bike fit. His teams director showed up because he is good friends with the owner and translated for us. The director also paid for my bike fit :D unfortunately I hate my bike now haha. I guess my posture is all wrong so now for my bike to feel comfortable, I need to fix my position.

It was also awesome to find out that my frame is the perfect size. When I bought my bike I just winged it, so it's nice to find out I lucked out haha.

Make sure you note the measurements or keep the numbers they gave you so in the future youll know how to set up other bikes

today i rode the 722 into work after installing my thomson seatpost, realized i could jack up my seat a bit and i thought it would be uncomfortable but its actually more confortable than it was

Today (well yesterday actually) I rode the Swamp Rabbit trail with my wife and my son. My son and rode fixed gear bikes and my wife took her trike. Afterwards we ate Indian food. Had a great family outing.

I also got to visit my friends at TTR in Greenville, Nathaniel (the ownwer) showed us his new Salsa Titanium bike, so, so nice.

Today it will be chores around the house and hopefully a longish ride this afternoon.

Yeah they gave me a paper with all my numbers and stuff. It was pretty cool, they took my measurements put them into a computer and then the bike adjusted automatically to my measurements. And they couldn't get the saddle high enough, guess my legs are too long for their japanese machine haha

My saddle was 1cm too low, and my bars were 1.5 cm too low and too far. Moved my saddle back and leveled it out more, which I'm not 100% happy about. But if I sit in the proper position I don't slide forward in my saddle, so I guess if I'm uncomfortable in it then my form is wrong.

Today I'm recovering from a really crappy ride yesterday, from a legs perspective. Tried to ride Mt Tam fixed AGAIN, while still recovering from the flu. I did make it, although cramping like mad, and way slower than last week, when I did similar route with no problems. Luckily it was an excellent ride other than me being stupid, met a few new riding friends.

I hope you had more than enough liquids on hand for that ride.

Dannihilator 06-09-13 08:02 PM

Today I put in 50 miles.

Perfect day for it, I hope the rain isn't too intense tomorow, I am hoping to get my first hundred on the first fifty on the new frame. Having a longer commute is really fun, I just wish I don't have to be at work at 5am

Edit: I got my old kilo back a few days ago and I couldn't bring myself to take carnage pics, seeing it just reminded me off all the great times we had together, so I stripped anything usable off it and put it on the curb. It was gone within the hour

It shouldn't be as heavy as it was on Friday.
