In other news, riding fixed again kicked my ass. Or maybe I just like riding slow, and it was geared to high. I'm pretty sure I was only properly spinning when going like 19 mph!
Fresh Garbage
Yeah you can kinda see it in that picture but the other side of the saddle is worse. The side you see is still kinda hard while the other isn't. This is compared to my B17 which has a few years of daily riding on it commuting/road/dirt and it hardly shows signs of being broken in.

Today I finished a 12 hour night shift, rode the bike 10 miles, broke my carbon seatpost, rode out of the saddle home, threw my spare on and went back out for another 15. Also, I like to use commas.

So it's collapsing? Tensioning bolt no help? That's extra weird because they use the thickest leather on the Pro.

this is my #1 fear for carbon components. that my seatpost breaks in a jagged spike and impales my *******.
how the **** did that happen, was it the dolan?

I'd be more afraid of CF bars tacoing downwards while crushing a huge hill or something.. Ugh either way, the thought of impaling my ass with a broken seat post or smashing my face into the tube steerer scares the **** out of me.
Glad youre ok Aristo

Damn, ya'll are making me worry. I just bought a used carbon post. I also don't want carbon fiber shards impaling my rear.

Did you try adding some tension via the bolt? Doing the lacing does provide more stability simply because you are keeping the vertical surfaces from fairing outwards causing the saddle to sag in the middle while sitting. I've got 2 B-17 saddles in which i've completely cut the sides off and they hardly sag even with minimal bolt tightening. Maybe you have a dud seat or something?

spider too, look at the bottom bolt hole. whole rear triangle is bent like i got hit by a car, even the ****ing bb spindle is bent.
lugging that 33lb pos home on my back was fun, i guess chip does die.
guess this means n+1 soon. sw8.

i didnt even get 2 miles from my house when i was spinning down a hill, hit a SMALL bump and the chainring snapped as i was on the downstroke, gets lodged on the spider where there used to be a chainring, then the chain dumped off the cog and then got lodged inbetween the cog and the dropout and pulled the whole thing into itself
i got off the bike and laughed, it was so ridiculous and such a huge amount of damage for what actually happened. i immediately just thought about all the **** this bike has been through to have this as the cause for its demise is hysterical to me
