Brought it the summer crew from the garage to make room for the motorbike and convertible before the snow flies. Need to give a few of these a good cleaning.

Sweet. To what spacing, 130mm or did you go for 135mm?

38x17 is a perfect SSCX gear.

And as a bonus, you drew a pic of a fast pony.

Today I decided to sell my Look because the top tube is a little too long for me and I really, really, really want to build up another Bare Knuckle. Really.

TMonk 11-09-15 10:24 PM

Hmm, noticed that it isn't in your PedalRoom signature anymore. Did you get rid of it? Thing was a class act.

Scrodzilla 11-10-15 12:03 AM

It's been gone for a while. Too long.

Doohickie 11-10-15 12:50 AM

Is that an old Raleigh with rod brakes? Such a cool bike.

What wheel size is it?

My father was in the Marines 59 to 63.

I ran the Marine Corps Marathon in 2009 but can't wear the shirt because people "thank me for my service" and I have to explain that I wasn't a marine but only ran a marathon.

johnnytheboy 11-10-15 10:27 AM

cali_axela 11-10-15 11:46 AM

Yes, the one on the left is a 1966 Raleigh DL-1 three speed. You have a good eye; yes it has rod brakes. And it has 28 x 1 1/2 tires. They can be hard to find. I had the wheels rebuilt; the rims are even harder to find.

Carcosa 11-10-15 01:46 PM

I didn't even know I need a bike cave. :thumb:

Just got through your pedal room. I'd have a hard time trying to decide which one of those to ride every day. Hot damn.

What did you use for the strips where the tires sit against the wall? Almost looks like it is upholstered.

1x6 lumber painted flat black. They were formerly rails on my son's loft bunk from when this was his room.
