Today I discovered a blog about commuting in SF which needs a lot more videos. All of these things happen to me ALL THE TIME: http://yourturnsignalisbroken.tumblr.com -- I love that the author calls out motorists and other cyclists equally instead of just focusing on bad drivers, because both groups definitely do dangerous/stupid things all the time.

Holy crap. Is that what it's like to ride in SF?! The video below mentions how bicycle commuters in urban areas race each other from light to light, and I didn't really appreciate that until watching the first video on that blog. That would take much of the fun out of commuting for me (well, simply living in a large city would probably take the fun out of most things for me). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2THe_10dYs |
I hate people like in the first video.

today I had relations with an ex lady friend, always support recycling.

Built the Leader back up again with a bunch of random parts I had laying around + Omniums I just grabbed for it. Took it out for a test ride and was like, wow it feels so quick compared to the Kilo but then I remembered it's pushing a smaller ratio. I'm smart.

looks like we got another case of random drafting syndrom...
personally i have a love/hate relationship with random drafters. i find it quite annoying, but at the same time i get a kick out of swerving out of potholes, obstacles at the last minute and hearing the "THUD" from their wheels. if you're not gonna have the common courtesy to ask (if you can draft), then im not gonna acknowledge you or point **** out in the road. |

1 cup sugar
4 large egg whites 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice Pinch of salt 2 bags Earl Grey tea Whisk the sugar, egg whites, lemon juice and salt by hand in the bowl of a stand mixer. Empty the tea bags and add the loose tea to the bowl, then set the bowl over the saucepan of simmering water and whisk until the mixture is hot and the sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes. Transfer the bowl to the stand mixer and beat with the whisk attachment on medium-high speed until the mixture holds stiff peaks, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a large resealable plastic bag, snip the corner and pipe the icing onto the cupcakes. |
