What the hell? Which tool are you now the proud owner of?

A stud gun for pulling dents, they had one for the shop but of course bought the cheapest one they could so it broke in a year and now they are telling us, tough luck, buy your own.

Last night I went to the Depeche Mode concert and drove instead of riding my bike home from work.

Just heard this morning that yesterday around 5:30 a cyclist was hit by a Matco tools truck at an intersection I cross on my way home.

Depeche Mode might have saved my life.

That still sucks but I was thinking you went to a bike shop for a repair and they made you pay for the tool needed to get the job done. The owner of a shop I worked at a few years ago tried pulling that on a customer who wanted to extend the threads on a fork because he didn't already have the tools.

Heh. I'm glad about that, but for me, having to sit through a Depeche Mode show might have me looking for a Matco truck to run over me.

;)

Depeche Mode is amazing. You craycray.

Today I woke up to the First Rain of the season. The sun hasn't come back out yet. *knock on wood*

Rain in LA is like a double rainbow for me now.

I really wanna throw a Rabbit Hole/Knard wheel on the Monocog. It should _just_ fit, but I ain't gonna throw down cash like that on an experiment that will almost certainly fail.

Sad to hear that, I'm feeling for you though. Had to retire my 930 recently (the green one). The rear end was damaged and repaired (poorly) before I got it. The brake bridge has separated from one of the seatstays with a gaping hole, and both chainstays are showing creases (one of which looks like an actual crack). I want it repaired, but don't want to spend the $$$ right now. I'm holding on to it for now.

Haha, I much prefer their older stuff to the newer stuff, but tickets were cheap, it was outside and a beautiful night. Hard to pass up.

Also, Crystal Castles was the opener, which I wanted to see for some time, so that was a bonus. Also, 40+ year olds do not like Crystal Castles. I literally saw a couple put both hands up to cover their ears.

Today I have an idea what the replacement frame will be. Potential for 700x38's...

i smell a surly

Sherblock 10-09-13 09:24 PM

ACT results in, got a 35, which is cool. Also changed the front chainring on my fixed from 53 to 42, so that should make it more fun to ride.

I'm in the process of changing my 91 diamondback ascent into a rain/bad weather bike as well. I love this thing, it's consistently fun to ride and I feel as if I can do anything to it.

I know I am. Like the first rain in 5 months.
I'm secretly bottling some up so I can have enough of it to last the year.

hairnet 10-09-13 10:42 PM

It rained?

TheRealFaux 10-09-13 10:43 PM

Today I sold my Pompino.

I took a 2.5hr lunch today so I could ride one of my fav loops, hoping that I would get caught in the middle. It happened just as planned and was a lot of fun.

I'm not about to start a ride in the rain, or head out if it is sub 50F with a high chance of rain, but I don't mind riding in the rain. Something about heavy downpours makes it alot easier for me to really lay it down and ride hard.
