ATL has 0.00637 microns of snow on the ground and a state of emergency has been declared.

State of emergency means they can arrest you if you leave your house. I want to get some oil and filters for my cars but but I'm afraid that I'll be pulled over by some sheriff who sees the state of emergency as a license to express his pent up anger.

You should roll the dice on a $80 craigslist ride.

Yep, it is me. I got mine from VeloMine last Fall and it is my 'go to' winter bike. So far, I changed out the BB5 brakes for TRP Spyres and I'm going to buy some lighter wheels since I generally ride on the road.

I really like mine.

Btw, I only live 65 miles from VeloMine so I get to visit the place several times a year. Great guys and a lot of esoteric Campy and Italian stuff.

Today I noticed my last inner tube had popped and had to admit to myself it was because my tires were too worn out. But on the plus side I placed the first of many orders to Retrogression and got myself a hardshell tire, inner tubes, and a tire bead jack.

Got caught in a downpour today. Crabon wheels x rain x 15% grades makes for some terrifying descending. Also, medium Rapha fits kinda loose on me now, and I just got it

Tried to go MTBing today but my ribs are still pretty bruised from last week, got about halfway through the ride and jus had to turn around and go home. Now I'm just eating burritos and getting drunk.

Did about 25 miles today at slower pace than usual. I tweaked my seat a bit (Flite) and put it slightly further back with the nose tilted more up....bad decision. By about 5 miles in my shoulder blades started aching (the spot right below your trapezoids). Usually if I get a headwind, I'll just ride in the drops. Today I was riding on the hoods and even sometimes holding the flat section next to the stem (MASH approved).

I only tweaked my seat a little. Not sure if the shoulder pain was from nose being too high or the seat moved back. I'm guessing I moved it too far back since raising the nose of the saddle should put less body weight on the handlebars.

First time I had this pain and I've done this same ride many many times. Usually it's only cold feet and sore quads.

I have a 15% hill on my commute, and even with disc brakes the rain makes for a scary descent, especially in the fall when the road is covered with crud.

Another practice crit today, main pack couldn't catch the breakaway, but I didn't get dropped, and no one crashed. I'm super happy with my bike now.

Today I got in touch with a local new/used bike shop that has volunteers for repairs and service, I'm starting on Tuesday with orientation. Pretty damn stoked.
