good job!!!!

Mumonkan 04-16-16 04:32 PM

today did a delightful MTBNJ reunion ride, and we moved this enormous bridge that got blasted away last year from the crazy storms a couple hundred ft back to its original spot

sweet day!

thewilson 04-16-16 05:57 PM

that's rad! I want to ride some bridges over water and ****.

Did one of the more strenuous hikes in my area today with the wife, two of the boys, and my nephew and his significant other. After over 30 years in the martial arts, my knees are trash, so I need to wear braces on these tough hikes. But, it was great, beautiful view, and fun to visit with everyone.

Rode my bike and now I'm drinking at a hipster bar. Kill me now.

pwebb 04-16-16 06:20 PM

isn't the point of bikes to ride to hipster bars?

Huffandstuff Sounds like you need to escape the scene for a bit!

Today I rode my newly converted fixed mtb on some in-town trails. As expected, it was slow and stupidly fun. Good way to break the monotany. Tomorrow is a 60 mi round trip ride to the nearby springs with friends. Should be a great time.

Huffandstuff 04-16-16 06:29 PM

Only if people are outside to see you lock up.

I really wanted to sit on a patio and there's a bar that just opened up with a patio, decided to check it out and I made a mistake.

Tonight the weather in North Georgia was gorgeous - 65° at sunset, still air and perfectly clear. At 9:00 I decided to go out for a 25 mile loop with the lights. Perfect.

I'm at the point of looking for new cities to live in, PDX has become a place that isn't something I recognize. I'm stuck here till february though so we'll see how my attitude changes by then.

I picked up a power block set 5-125 with stand for 175.
Now I have power rack, bench I think 290 in Olympic weights and a Olympic curl bar plus power block adjustable dumbbells.
Weeeee

Same with LA, except it hasn't changed -- more like all the **** I don't like about it keeps staying the same.

Today there will be a recovery ride made up of me and a few guys on fixed gear bikes that are just gonna cruise around and maybe get some lunch. Might post pics.

Ok well my day is ruined now. Axl Rose is the new singer for AC/DC for the remaining bit of their tour and possibly replacing Brian in the future..

I cringe when I see someone boil a perfectly good vegetable.

Got me a Zojirushi rice cooker/steamer years ago. Cooks in a flash. Worth 5x what it cost which wasn't a lot.

Last night I had some rad pedal strike while making a left turn on a downhill with oncoming traffic approaching. Drifted the rear tire a bit, but didn't eat ****. And I was on a freewheel, lol.

TenSpeedV2 04-17-16 02:32 PM

Did a 31 mile recovery ride that was more fun than my race. Beautiful out today, not a cloud in the sky and it is just shy of 80°. 4 guys on fixed gear bikes just riding around. Got some lunch, they had a beer (I don't drink) and I am feeling really good.

Got out to test my new fork. It is even better than I had hoped for. Easily the best fork that I have ridden or owned. It is a combination of its ability to keep the front tire solidly on the ground and working with the fact that it does it so without any drama. I have the SID brain on my Epic WC, which is great, but you know it is there and working. Also, I had the Pike on my Stumpy, which is a great fork. But, unless you are constantly getting air, the RS-1 just beats it. The only time it bottomed out was when I caught more air than I normally ever do, because I was carrying more speed. So, no buyers remorse!

Mumonkan 04-17-16 05:25 PM

nice! i imagine that since the moving parts are on the lighter end of the fork it would be pretty sweet
