I finally got around to installing a new plug on an old Craftsman corded drill I found in a pile of trash. It works! :D Now I have to take time to sit down, tear it down, clean it, and put it back together. This thing looks like more like a 50's scifi laser blaster than a tool.

Turned 44 in September. Had bibs on, jersey, and a windproof jacket, head cover, wool socks and PI thermal gloves. Temp at start of ride was windy and 34°. I have Reynaud's so I need to keep extremities warm specifically my hands. I knew that I would be outdoors for several hours in those temps so I did make an effort to dress a bit warmer than normal. Local ride would have had me in a jersey and sleeves for those temps.
Only did 44 miles and had just under 1000 ft of elevation (pretty dang flat around here). Had a group catch up to me on my ride, stopped to chat briefly at a stop sign. One guy was in gym shorts. He looked at my Pearl Izumi tights and said, "Your legs are no warmer than mine." I replied, "Yeah, but my nuts are." -Tim- |
Today I discovered that Samsung is selling a robot vacuum for $700.00. That's on sale. The regular price is $1,000.00
Really? |

Really? Available through your favorite in-flight magazine. That reminds me, I need more electric wine aerators and a few more motorized tie organizers. |

I'm lamenting the end of the CX here in the midwest and trying to find motivation to keep my form up over the winter. I'm in the best physical shape I've been in years.
|
I did a little FG CX riding on the Work and also bought one of those new fangled iPhone things. Why my phone company had to discontinue service on my regular non-"smart" phones, I won't fully understand.

Tonight I wrapped the bars on one of the bikes with white bar tape

Today it is raining in Atlanta!
This is a pretty big deal for us with the fires and all. -Tim- |

Nah, just a new plug. I also also have a older Dewalt drill that needs a new cable but I'm no rush. The Craftsman just looks cool as fuq and I wanted to get going. Now I just need a new chuck key for it.
http://i.imgur.com/BJUQSMi.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/PjvPGgy.jpg?1 Reason I asked is because I have a ac charging cable that I need to splice and I'm not sure that's even safe to do. |
Last night I watched "The Appaloosa" with Marlin Brando (1966)
That's a seriously good movie. -Tim- |
Today I found out Cinelli made a track bike that doesn't look like ass.

I like how you tacked on more to the price. That is to compensate you for his obvious stupidity.

I have 82 gear inches on one of my bikes. On level terrain, 18 mph is no problem, and I can hold about 20 mph on a good day.
My other bike currently has about 71 inches, and I like to ride it at 15 or 16 mph. I can go for hours at that pace. |

RG is selling that Cinelli.
https://www.retro-gression.com/colle...-complete-bike I like the frame, but the components on the complete are really el cheapo stuff IMO. For example, the cranks are Lasco, which are the same as came on my $300 Chinese chromo bikes from BD. |
