Hell yeah! my kinda lady! that's all I cared about back ij '11 when Inbrole my hip and the.other day when I had my accident was "oh shoot, is my bike okay?"
she sounds like a keeper for sure. glad you had a good.time. I miss bike dates.
As for me I'm surviving on a diet of dilaudid, morphine, stool softeners, clotting factor (and blood thinners as well, lol) and vegetaeian tacos today. Really hoping to get discharged tomorrow, but I need a bed down stairs, the 5-6 hours (or 1 in an air ambulance), a large supply of clotting factor VIII at my home and mucho evaluations and probably some phydical therapy . .long day. I just hope it'll work im time. Not to mention if they dont air lift me my ride has to wait for the call to pick me up then drive 11-12 hours round trip.
Wish that luck, Y'all!

yeah I’m sure it was Stza, it was one of those stories of a girl claiming he had taken advantage of her while she was drunk at a show (poor decision making, but doesn’t justify) and then several more came forward with the same sort of claims. I never took it for face value, like I said I don’t know him personally and would never judge someone on pure hearsay without necessary proof.

Today was a good day. I slept in, and hopped on my new trainer for a couple hours while watching a movie. Then I went over to a cute girls house and we went on a bike date. Rode to a local park that also has a zoo and had a great little picnic. Let her German Sheppard puppy (3.5 months old) chase the ducks around the pond, and play with the bigger dogs in the dog pen. They were pretty rough and the poor pup got scared. As we were walking back to the bikes the African lions started their end of evening roars. Pretty epic way to end the week.

That's rough! I read about your getting hit by a truck and breaking some ribs and stuff. Kinda makes my little wrist fracture seem like NBD at all.

Hope they get you discharged soon, and that you can work out transport to home.

So I have about 400 miles on my SRAM S300 cranks now (17T FW). They have a 48T ring. I'm a fairly strong rider and don't live in the mountains so it hasn't been too much for me, but today I went on a 34 mile ride and the headwind coming home was killer. For the first time I thought about stopping and taking a break but I powered through it. But over the last week my left knee has been getting more sore. I don't think a 48T is doing my 51 year old knees any good so I believe I will get a 46T All City 314 ring.

If I were you (though I am not), I would go with an 18t freewheel instead.

48/18 is a splendid ratio

I have a 46t ring I can send you if you want. Nothing special, Origin 8 or something. I just don't have a use for it. Shoot me a PM if you want it.

Agree, that is a nice ratio, and seeing as you're not doing any sweet fixayyyy skids you don't have to worry about the low patch number.

I'm sure you already know, but just making sure, SRAM S300 is 130 bcd

Shoot, I just bought a White Industries. I went with 17 because that's what my fixed gear is.

I already ordered one but thanks!

On a bit of a home (well, apartment rental) improvement kick with my fiancee.

Our trundle bed in the 2nd bedroom is made of some crappy laminate boards and the wood screws and dowel just tore out of both sides of the board that supports the upper mattress. So we got some nice, hard maple cut and ripped to size, installed the ledger board and slapped it back together. New hardware and dowels too.

We swapped which side the bed and bikes go in the separate room, and I'm installing bike hooks into the studs on the wall instead of the crappy as vertical rack that I had.

Our patio is generally overgrown and needs some TLC so I trimmed a bunch of branches and we need to re-pot a few things, sweep and generally tidy up. Lastly we're re-arranging the way a few framed (music) records and paintings are oriented in the living room by the piano.

Fun stuff! I'm finding myself distracted at work! Also I really look forward to home ownership where I can get further fulfillment out of some good old fashioned elbow grease and sweat-equity. I think we're about 5 years out.

Today I have to hobble and wobble my broken ass to a dr's appointment.

Last night a plane crashed on my daughter's college campus.

Police: Plane crashes on Kennesaw State University campus - Story | WAGA

Guys lived and were talking with EMS workers. They are extremely lucky. I know the spot and it looks like they tried to set it down on a road, and pretty much succeeded.

Oh yeah. Sorry. She was at home when it happened last night. Thanks for asking. No one but the two occupants were hurt.

The wreck was right across the street from the social sciences building where she had class today. She was able to eyeball it and was amazed at how it held together so well in spite of having fallen out of the sky. "He must have been a pretty good pilot" was the consensus.

Did a 30 mile mixed gravel ride. Felt like a badass when I nailed a rocky descent into a hard right, then later wiped out on a paved path because of wet leaves. Thank you universe for that reality check.

Today went out for a forbidden bike ride with my son around the neighborhood, drs be damned! Cruising by the rich section and noticed one of those metal fire pits with stand laying in the gutter in front of a house. They threw out a perfectly good copper panned, wrought iron stand with screen cover and accessories fire pit.

It took 2 trips but that baby was coming home with us. No more broken concrete chunk fire pits for us now. The backyard fires got a little classier!

At 10:57 AM eastern today, Dave ( bonsai171 ) and his wife Rachel gave birth to a 7lb 2oz baby girl named Liliana Grace.

This is their third child and explains why he has been asking about indoor training

Both baby and mom are doing great. I'm so happy for them both.

Congrats Dave!

My third child just turned four months old. I, uhh, haven't ridden much the past few months. It's okay though. :)

Got a Switch yesterday, so I'm trying to keep my crippled self busy with Breath of the Wild for now. Slowly but surely healing up a bit.

Nice! Hoping to get one soon too, BOTW looks like a hell of a fun game. Hope the recovery's going well.

mouse 12-06-18 09:03 PM

The switch has me intrigued. Looks fun, I'm just leery of Nintendo. I've owned the Wii and several DS platforms, and was bored with them after a very short amount of time.

Today I'm playing with heat treating some steel, trying to figure out temperature and time to get some cool colors. I'll post the results when I find a happy spot ;)
