If I remember correctly, it was something about a cute kitten or bunny being killed for every time a someone buys a VISP. Kitten or bunny being based on the industry's discretion.
I'm not at the liberty to expose the dirty little secret of how that is chosen though.

Order one and see if you get those nice welds.

The accent over the o in Aventón makes it so classy.

Even if the welds are truly nice, the non-butted tubing and steel steerer are still going to make it a boat anchor. Like my VISP is 2.4 pounds heavier than my Leader 721, and the Leader frame is not particularly light either.

They give the weights as 3.75lbs for the frame and 1.2lbs for the fork, also.

I knew that fork was a boat anchor.

With a quality full carbon fork, that could be a near 2000g frameset.

I don't know that I'd call a 540g fork a "boat anchor".
Also, that leader full carbon fork is advertised at .4lbs.......which is 181g....
it's lighter than an s-works fork? And a ritchey wcs fork?
Hard to believe that fork weighs less than a set of wcs superlogic or enve drop bars.....!!

I have the Leader i806TR full carbon fork and yes Mildred it really is that light.

It can't. That's has to be a typo. That would make it the lightest fork on the market, and a bargain at 350.

But yeah, when nice carbon forks run ~320g, 540g is a boat anchor.

Jaded sure is a funny word for it. The fact that 500g is heavy for a road fork isn't my decision.

It's not so much that 500g is heavy for a road fork, as it is that 320g is light for a road fork.
i'd just about guarantee that there's more forks on the market they weigh more than 500g than there are that weigh less than that.

I would also guarantee that more crap is sold than good stuff.

I would love to see a picture of it on the scale. I just can't believe it's that light.
