What size Kilo TT should I get?

I know the question has been asked and I read through some old threads but I'm still not sure. The BD site seems to have conflicting geometry on them. I'm 5'10 1/2. I have a 57cm Takara Kabuto which fits me ok, maybe a little big. The stand over is 33" and I have about 1/2" clearance but with bullhorns my reach seems ok. I bought and returned a Surly Cross Check 54cm that was a little cramped especially riding in the drops. It looks like I should be 55 in the Kilo but then I have seen people saying to size down so I'm confused. I think by most fit calculators I should be 55-56 on a normal road bike

More specifically, does anyone think a 57 Kilo TT would fit me or be way too big from experience?

Don't listen to them hipsters who tell you to get 50cm frames. If 55cm is what the fit calculator tells you to get, then get it. Also, have you tried changing out your stems to personalize your reach?

EDIT: Most 5'10" people I know ride on 55cm frames. Also, Kilos have a tall top tube, so I'm not sure if you like having more seatpost showing from an aesthetic perspective. My guess is that it would look big even if it fits. Try comparing the geometry charts of all the bikes you already ride.

Did you check the massive sticky? Did you USE the fit calculator?

The answer to this question will determine whether I close this or not

I actually did use the Competitive Cyclist fit calculator yesterday. The problem I've found is different bikes run different. I should fit a 55-56 but I've seen threads about Kilo TT where people are saying they usually ride 56 but a 50 or 52 Kilo fits them perfectly or other crazy talk. Also the geo chart that BD links has conflicting info from what is in the bike descriptions so it's confusing. I'm just curious if anyone is around my size and has a Kilo and how it fits.

BTW, you have a sweet beard

Dude, it's easy. What top tube measurement did the fit calculator give you? Pick the Kilo TT with the top tube closest to that length.

My beard > Jandro's.

So I guess I should go with the 55. Now just need to wait until they are back in stock

The 55 has a top tube of 56.5, which makes it too big.

This really isn't that hard.

You want the 53cm, did you look at the geometry chart of the Kilo TT? A 55 kilo rides like a 58 Gazzetta with a smaller headtube.
