Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Nexus Fresco Track Frame

I'm going to be building a fixed gear time trial bike and was thinking this frame because it fits my budget. Please chime in if you have this frame or use it before and for the record I already have a kilo tt as my commuter.

For USAC sanctioned road time trial, or time trials and pursuits at Blaine?

I did my first road ITT Wednesday night on my kilo tt and now I'm hooked lol. The wife gave me the go on a purpose build for time trial so I decided why not just build a fixed gear bike for it. There was a guy on a track bike and annihilated everyone on the 8.3mi course and finish in 17.XX minutes. He gave me a lot of good advices and he also told me he was only running 47/17. I am by no mean any fast but we all have to start somewhere.

I was looking at the same bike. But if you want the version with the carbon fork it's $389:

So , for $380 with shipping I ended up getting this (frame, carbon fork, headset and seat stem)

The nexus is a pretty decent shape for a entry level road tt actually. Its shallower ht angle makes for pretty good stability out on the aerobars.
