I don't give a rat's ass what their site says. That information is obviously wrong. There's no way any cro-mo frame weighs 9 lbs.

That I'm doubtful of. Under 4 lbs for just the frame, perhaps.

i'd ditch those cranks before you start killing isis bb's every couple months. worst bb design ever. SKF makes ISIS bb's that are supposed to last but those cost like 100 bucks. my advice would be to sell the carpet fibre cranks and buy something with a square taper that will last basically forever. if you need modern shiny carbon maybe an external BB though those are a pain compared to square taper as well.

other than that nice bike. spensive to the young urban fixed gear crowd bikes but damn cheap compared to your average middle aged man's roadie.

I was looking at the FSA Vero Track: https://www.fullspeedahead.com/produc...Track-Crankset but really hated the black arms.. (lame?) so thats why I chose the ISIS..

Its not cheaper than my Fuji Gran Fondo but I put about the same amount of miles on each of them so might as well have something nice right?

Believe me I *****ed for a discount, haha. They gave me a little bit, but only 2 parts are theirs, so not much they could do. I feel I got a good price on the bike and will be happy with it. I am a member of about 40 different forums and I will also recommend what I feel is a good fair product.

Ask me about my iPhone 4s on the appleforums and ill tell you its a good phone but lacks battery and the constant freezing sucks. Ask me about my Tundra on ToyotaTalk.. ill tell you about it.

I like products and business that help their customers and create a relationship with them, not just the "may i help you" here yours parts pay and goodbye. That is what I built my business off of and I havent met many companies that employ that same sense of personal or even that sense of excitement when you come buy a part.

You can tell when someone is passionate about their work it makes you that much more excited about it.

Walk into best buy to buy a TV... when I was buying my new Samsung LED tv we shopped around most places would give you the "do you want it or not" wouldnt tell me anything about the tv.. didnt know anything about the tv and the 16 year old sales kid just wanted to make a buck and hurry me along. I went to a smaller chain of electronics store a gentlemen who helped me, answered all my questions and made me feel better about the purchase even though it was 300$ more than Frys and Best Buy. Same TV, but the service makes it that much better.

I refer all my friends to by TVs, appliances, anything they can from them. Just because they treat me like a human and not a walking stack of cash. maybe I am different but it means something to me and State and the guys who work there that I have dealt with have been over enthusiastic every time I have called to ask a question or bombard them with stupid ass **** questions as well, they answer me in a professional manner. Sorry they must have rubbed me the right way. I can talk about a few other local bike shops that have me pretty perturbed.. as well some more "popular" companies that i was LESS than thrilled with.. Chrome being one of them. Good product... horrible service. Thats a whole nother thread on its own, but i dont like to ***** on the internet. Good vibes.. good peeps.. good rides.. lets just enjoy life and be happy

I'm just blown away by the fact that you're spending close to $3,000 on a $950 bike.

The bike with SRAM Ominums and standard wheels, bars, etc is 950$

Add the carbon SL-K cockpit, the ISIS Cranks the Rolf Wheels.. now its no longer a $950 bike.

the FSA stuff is like $800 by itself.

You can buy the bottom of the line benz C class for $30k, but you can also buy an S class for $120k... still a car just different options... both still a mercedes.. right?

I guess it must be different for me buying things and being looked down at most places I go to buy them... must be the way I look. No one ever scoffed at you or wouldnt give you the time of day when you were trying to hand over your hard earned cash for a product?

Consider also that the same parts on, say, a Vigorelli would only be about a $200 difference in price. (Going by Scrodzilla's sale price right now). If you decide you don't like the frame you still have a pile of high-end parts you can stick onto a frame you DO like.

Okay I'm actually just mad that I don't have 3K to drop on a bike, but I still don't get it.

Yeah... If it were me I'd probably go cheaper on some of the parts and put the difference towards one of those sweet pink Vigorellis. (Yes pink! Yes, I am straight too.)

Custom steel. Probably from Ninnescah or Pete Ruckelshaus. No way in hell would I buy a Bose bicycle frame for 1500+.

This, spend a little less on the wheels and crankset and get a Vig, local shop has one hanging up and I want it so bad.
